BOOK AN AUTHOR

Enjoy an engaging 2-hour author visit with Dr. Kimme, where students will experience an interactive book reading of one of her published works: The Colors of Kwanzaa or This is a Story. Each visit is designed to inspire young readers to connect with themselves, their families, and their communities while exploring the values and traditions of Kwanzaa.

Dr. Kimme will share the creative process behind her books, highlighting their cultural significance and relevance. As part of the visit, students will participate in a hands-on mini art activity, further deepening their understanding of Kwanzaa’s message of unity and celebration.

The session includes a book bundle goodie bag with 2 free books, 5 bookmarks, and 1 Kwanzaa magnet, all presented in an eco-friendly bag. Dr. Kimme’s visit provides an enriching experience that blends storytelling, cultural education, and creativity.
